Shoulder Anatomy
The shoulder is the most flexible joint in the body, allowing a wide range of movements, including flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, internal rotation, external rotation, and circumduction (a 360-degree rotational movement). However, this extensive mobility makes the shoulder joint inherently less stable compared to other joints in the body. Stability is provided by the combined support of ligaments, muscles, and tendons, which work together to keep the joint functional and secure.
