  Dr. Hinson used his medical /surgical abilities on my right shoulder while practicing at what Augustans call MCG. I believe my case was considerably more complex than 80% of his patients. It was not an experience I would want to go through again but I have full use of my shoulder with no limitations years later. He listens and cares for his patients. I have only one regret...he left Augusta before I was ready to have surgery on my left shoulder. Don’t know if I can make it to Florida. Thank you.

  Recently, my 85-year-old mother fell and broke her hip. I was lucky enough to get connected to Dr. John Hinson as her orthopedic surgeon. He took the time to explain the options and we decided to go ahead and do surgery which was a partial hip replacement. Dr Hinson put me at ease on the phone and I felt confident we were making the right decision. My mother has advanced dementia and is nonverbal. His empathy of the situation guided us through this complicated process. After my mother’s surgery, he personally called me to follow up as I was out of the country at the time. I am immensely grateful for the personal touch and care he showed toward my mother and our circumstances.

• I am so grateful to have had Dr. Hinson on my father's case at Wellington Hospital. He had seen my father as a consult for Orthopedic knee surgery he had done by another physician which got infected. Dr. Hinson was so good about speaking with me and keeping me up to date on his care. On this last stay at Wellington Hospital my father came in with a few issues, one being knee pain in same knee as previous surgery again. I asked for Dr. Hinson to be consulted once again because of his previous knowledge with my father. He withdrew fluid from my Dad's knee and sent it for culture. Within 24 hours he called me to inform me it was positive for another severe infection, stating that he wanted to consult his associate Dr Avino. Dr Avino came in the next evening to see my Dad. After much consideration he felt my Dad would benefit from another surgery on his knee. The surgery so far has been a success. Dr. Hinson saved my Dad! I can not think him enough! I would highly recommend Dr. Hinson for his care, quality and medical knowledge.
